My PhD research at UQTR, completed with an &#8220;Excellent&#8221; distinction, focused on a problem that most engineers don&#8217;t even know exists: how do you predict when industrial rubber will fail, years before it does?<br \/><br \/>The answer involves accelerated thermal aging protocols, FTIR and DMA characterization, and formulation engineering &#8211; tuning carbon black ratios, selecting the right wax systems, and understanding how SBR and EPDM behave differently under mechanical and thermal stress over time.<br \/><br \/>Before my PhD, I spent three years as a Polymer &amp; Composite Lab Specialist at MAPNA Generator &#8211; one of the Middle East&#8217;s largest power equipment manufacturers &#8211; where I was hands-on with material testing and formulation from day one.
